About my funding

My early research was funded through collaborative partnerships within SEPIMOD, the Spatial Epidemiological Modelling Group, where I developed spatial and computational models and contributed modelling and data analysis expertise to its spatial epidemiology and wastewater surveillance work.

I now lead independently funded research. The NRF Thuthuka grant supports statistical methods for spatially misaligned health data, spatio-temporal models for disease surveillance and spatial optimisation tools for tuberculosis interventions. A new IMSA and Investec grant extends this work to non-communicable diseases.
